The NJACA Military Appreciation Day was held on Thursday November 13, 2014 at the Lawrenceville Armory.  This event was co-sponsored by the NJ Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve (ESGR).  NJACA would like to thank the NJ Department of Corrections, the NJ State Parole Board, the NJ Jail Warden’s Association for supporting this event and allowing us to honor their active guardsmen and reservists.  Special thanks to Brigadier General James Grant for welcoming all attendees and thanking all guardsmen and reservists for their service.  His call to leadership for all corrections professionals and appreciation was echoed by the NJ State Parole Board Chairman James Plousis and NJ Department of Corrections Commissioner Gary Lanigan.  Special thanks goes to Warden Eugene Caldwell of the NJ Jail Warden’s Association for coordinating the county jail participation in this event.  NJACA hopes for the Military Appreciation Day to become an annual event honoring all corrections professionals who have served and are currently serving in the armed forces.
